Truss Design Specialist

We are searching for a talented individual to leverage their skills in designing innovative truss systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create detailed floor and roof truss placement plans, design drawings, and truss quotes by interpreting blueprints and understanding client specifications. Define design specifications based on architectural blueprints and structural requirements. Review the work of fellow designers through a double-check system to minimize design errors before manufacturing. Generate optimized shop paperwork to enhance efficiency in manufacturing processes. Communicate effectively with customers and sales teams regarding technical elements of designs, ensuring clarity through proper documentation. Seek advice from senior component technicians and management for complex design analyses. Manage your workload efficiently to achieve daily, weekly, and project objectives. Adhere to all safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment; participate in safety meetings and suggest improvements. Perform other related duties as assigned. COMPETENCIES: In-depth knowledge of company products for effective structural application identification. Exceptional attention to detail and precision. Proficient in basic math and measurement techniques. Familiarity with drafting, architectural design, and CAD software. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
