Barge Supervisor

JSW Steel USA is seeking an experienced Barge Supervisor to join our team! Key Responsibilities:Enforce all safety policies and procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance during barge and rail loading/unloading operations.Plan, schedule, and coordinate the efficient unloading and loading of steel plates, scrap, and slabs from barges and rail cars.Supervise crane operators and loading crews, ensuring safe work practices and productive operations.Monitor team performance and provide leadership, coaching, training, and corrective feedback when necessary.Review equipment inspection reports and ensure proper maintenance of cranes, rail cars, and related machinery.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across all operational areas.Coordinate daily activities with rail crews and tugboat operators to ensure timely movement of materials.Address operational issues such as equipment malfunctions, delays, or safety concerns quickly and effectively.Prepare and submit daily operational reports covering safety, productivity, equipment usage, and workforce performance.Maintain accurate records for safety inspections, employee training, and equipment maintenance.Required Qualifications & Skills:Experience supervising employees in an industrial, logistics, marine, or heavy equipment environment.Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety regulations.Proven ability to manage teams, enforce safety standards, and maintain operational discipline.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to operational challenges.Experience planning and coordinating schedules for barge unloading/loading and rail crew operations.Ability to develop, deliver, and reinforce training programs focused on safe and efficient work practices.Strong communication and organizational skills.JSW Steel USA is an equal opportunity employer.
