Job Description:
Clerk/Typist Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. is seeking applicants for the position of Clerk/Typist to work out of the Steuben County Office Building in Bath. This is a full year position, 37.5 hours per week with benefits. The Clerk will perform various clerical and administrative tasks as required. Duties may include, but will not be limited to filing, typing and data entry. Assistance with HEAP program including mailings for eligible participants. Answer, refer and assist with incoming phone calls. Prepare and scan applications for review and processing. Act as a backup for reception as needed. Ideal skills include experience with a multi-line phone, familiarity with Microsoft Office, excellent customer service skills -verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of confidentiality.
