Customer Service/Shipping AssistantPay - $18 to $21 an hour Location - Batavia, OhioShift - 1st Role Type - Contract to Hire LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client, a manufacturing company in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, to identify a Customer Service and Shipping Assistant for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Batavia, Ohio. This is a 1st shift role offering an hourly pay rate of $18-$21, depending on experience.This position serves as the front-facing representative for the facility and provides day-to-day support across customer service, shipping, and administrative functions.Job ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming phone calls and greet customers, vendors, and suppliersServe as the primary front desk contact for the manufacturing facilityEnter customer orders accurately into internal systems and customer portalsPrepare bills of lading and required shipping documentationCreate shipping labels, including FedEx labels, as neededEnter and track shipment details within shipping portalsAssist with invoicing related to customer orders and deliveriesProvide delivery counts and coordinate freight pickupsSupport customer service, shipping, and accounting teams as neededPerform routine filing and general administrative tasksOrder office and shipping suppliesPrepare end-of-week checks for mailingQualificationsPrevious experience in customer service, shipping, administrative, or clerical rolesManufacturing or industrial office experience preferredComfortable answering phones and interacting professionally with customers and vendorsExperience with order entry, invoicing, billing, or shipping documentation is a plusProficient with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn internal systems and portalsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsReliable, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environmentPreferred SkillsBilling or invoicing experience
