Job Description:
Provide expert nursing care in a specialized Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit, focusing on cardiac and stroke patient diagnoses. This contract role requires adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment, with opportunities to float between Medical-Surgical, ICU, and Emergency Department units as needed. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality patient care on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias effectively Collaborate with Rapid Response Teams when necessary Provide care involving peripheral line management and central lines including PICC lines Utilize non-invasive airway management techniques Adhere to isolation precautions to maintain patient and staff safety Work closely with PCTs and phlebotomy teams for comprehensive patient care Document patient information accurately using Epic electronic charting system Qualifications/Experience: Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience BLS certification required Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias Comfortable floating within scope across Medical-Surgical, ICU, and ED units Willingness to work night shifts (4x12 hours, 7 pm to 7 am) Willing to work every other weekend No local candidates within 75 miles considered; pending licenses are not accepted Schedule: Night shift, 4 twelve-hour shifts per week (7:00 pm - 7:00 am) Weekend rotation every other weekend, with limited holiday time off This is a contract opportunity offering an engaging clinical environment with supportive staff and resources including PCTs and in-house phlebotomy support.
