Responsibilities include assisting with tree removal and maintenance operations, clearing debris, preparing the site, and ensuring proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment. Ground crew will operate professional equipment including chippers, mini skid steers (Dingo), and stump grinders with opportunity to move into climbing. The role requires adhering to safety protocols and working well with the team to ensure efficiency and job success, and satisfied customers. Must have the ability to lift heavy materials, and work outside in all weather.Year-round work including storm response, tree removal, and winter services.QualificationsExperience in tree services, landscaping, or construction.Familiarity with operating chainsaws, chippers, and other tree equipment.Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a crew.Physically able to lift heavy material and work outdoors in all weather.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work safely with tools and heavy machinery.Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.A valid driver's license is preferred; prior experience in tree service or landscaping is a plus.Osha 10/30 certification preferred.Compensation & Schedule•Competitive hourly pay based on experience•Full-time, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends during storms•Overtime available during busy seasons•Opportunities for advancement (climbing, equipment operation, crew lead)$22-24/hr with guaranteed raise if reliable.To apply text TREE to (508) 418-4096 or email cape.island.treeservice@
