Human Resources And Payroll Coordinator Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: 2 Year Degree Travel Percentage: None The position reports to the Director of Human Resources and serves as the institution's payroll, human resources, and benefits information specialist. Primary function is to administer, prepares and ensure the accuracy of bi-weekly payroll promptly in accordance with the state, federal, and MCCS policies and to maintain human resource records. This position assists the Director of Human Resources with employee orientation, benefits administration, ensuring compliance with leave tracking and eligibility, such as under the Family Medical Leave Act, monitoring contracts, as well as assistance with tracking and personnel records retention. Requires knowledge of multiple human resource functions. Serves as primary administrator for the time entry system (PayCom) and develops training materials and provides training for employees related to time entry. Deals with highly sensitive and strictly confidential information regularly. Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with at least five years of related office experience that includes payroll and human resources. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field with related office experience that includes payroll and human resources. Working knowledge of policies and practices of personnel administration, payroll, compensation procedures, and applicable state / federal laws. Previous knowledge and experience working with collective bargaining agreements. Ability to understand and apply instructions, while ensuring compliance with MCCS policies and procedures. Deal effectively with employees and students concerning confidential matters related to wages & benefits. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work independently.
