Job Description Lead the design and development of rugged mechanical components and systems intended for demanding industrial and defensealigned applications. Produce detailed electromechanical layouts for both high and lowvoltage power equipment, ensuring accuracy and performance under stress. Build and refine 3D models using advanced CAD tools and apply thermal and structural analysis to validate design integrity. Guide and participate in design reviews, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment. Develop and document comprehensive drawings, assembly instructions, bills of materials, and testing procedures to support full product lifecycle needs. Engineer effective cooling approaches - including liquid, natural convection, and forcedair solutions - based on system requirements. Oversee or support environmental testing activities to confirm product suitability for harsh operating conditions. Continually identify opportunities for improved reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency across all mechanical design work. The Successful Applicant A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. At least five years of experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proven skill in mechanical design, including structural framing, electronics packaging, and detailed drafting/modeling. Strong capability with 3D CAD tools and the ability to perform thermal and structural analyses using modern engineering software. Solid understanding of thermodynamics, cooling strategies, and mechanical behavior under stress. Experience collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support full product lifecycle development. Demonstrated problemsolving ability, attention to detail, and clear communication skills suited for complex technical projects.
