Company DescriptionJob DescriptionBase pay starts at $16.421st Shift: 7:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday, with potential for overtime Forklift Operators perform float loading activities to support the distribution of materials to customers and branch locations. In their day-to-day duties, they operate a forklift, overhead crane and construction tools. KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform float loading activities to optimize multiple loads for delivery coordination. Perform material handling and machine/equipment operation duties in a safe and efficient manner to fulfill customer orders and business requirements. Ensure machine and equipment is operating properly. Complete orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage. Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment. Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. High school diploma or GED required. A combination of education and experience may be qualifying. Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane. Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Experience - Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Pace - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Communication - Effective communication abilities. Physical Stamina - Ability to lift and move heavy items, often requiring the use of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. Attention to Detail - Ensuring orders are processed accurately and inventory is managed correctly. Organizational Skills - Efficiently organizing stock and maintaining a clean workspace. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lifting Capacity - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Mobility - Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, etc. Exposure - Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment.
