Job Description:
The Director of Human Resources will lead the full HR function in a hands-on, strategic capacity while partnering closely with the CEO and senior leadership team. This role is responsible for strengthening HR infrastructure, advancing learning and development programs, modernizing job architecture, and ensuring compliance within a regulated environment. The position plays a key role in preserving the organization's culture while building scalable talent practices that support long-term growth across a multi-location footprint. Worksite Location: HQ inBaldwin, WI and 6 western WI sites. 5 days onsite at any branch location. Open to 1 day remote and requires some monthly travel to see other branches. Roles & Responsibilities: Lead the full HR function as a team of 1, partnering directly with executive leadership on people strategy Design and implement scalable learning and development programs, including leadership training and onboarding initiatives Modernize job architecture and integrate consistent frameworks across hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning Provide employee relations guidance, leadership coaching, and conflict resolution support Ensure compliance with employment regulations and support audit readiness across HR practices Support compensation structure alignment and benefits governance Collaborate cross-functionally on organizational initiatives, committees, and strategic projects Oversee talent processes including recruitment strategy, onboarding consistency, and development planning Maintain HR systems, reporting, and training platforms to support operational effectiveness Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience Demonstrated experience building HR infrastructure and leading organizational change Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and HR operations Experience designing or facilitating leadership development and training programs Ability to partner effectively with executive leadership and influence across functions Experience working within regulated environments Experience supporting multi-location organizations (preferred) Background in industries with regulatory oversight (financial services, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, etc.) (preferred) Experience implementing job architecture frameworks and scalable talent programs (preferred) About Versique: Versique: /ver-seek/ adj. being both versatile and unique; n. a high-performance recruiting firm specializing in executive leadership search, direct hire, and interim hiring solutions.
