In this role, you will play a vital part in the functionality of our facilities by installing and configuring crucial low-voltage systems, such as security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video setups, and network cabling. Essential Functions: Oversee the setup and configuration of various low-voltage systems. Run, terminate, and label cables according to specifications and industry standards. Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure peak system functionality. Diagnose and resolve issues in low-voltage systems to reduce downtime. Provide technical assistance and training to end users. Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant regulations. Maintain safety protocols to create a secure work environment. Document installations, maintenance, and repairs accurately. Assess current systems for potential upgrades. Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers for seamless project execution. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices. Lead team activities, offering support and guidance to colleagues. Promote ethical conduct and compliance in the workplace. Physical Activities: Effective communication skills for in-person and telephonic interactions. Utilize fine motor skills for handling objects of various sizes and weights. Ability to climb ladders and navigate stairs as required. Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds. Able to visually inspect equipment and locate items. Comfortable working in confined spaces. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel domestically to multiple facilities, potentially involving overnight stays. Flexibility to work or receive training at various locations. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards. Preferred Qualifications: Training or certification in low-voltage systems. BICSI Installer Certification. CompTIA networking certifications (e.g., Network+). Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch). OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification/training.
