Since its opening in Fall 2013, it has been committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site position for an Elementary School Counselor based in Aurora, CO. The Elementary School Counselor will work with students to support their academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling sessions, collaborating with teachers and staff to meet students' needs, and addressing the unique requirements of students in special education. The role also involves engaging with families and coordinating community outreach initiatives to enhance student support systems.QualificationsProficiency in Student Counseling and individual or group Counseling techniquesNative or native-like fluency in Spanish AND English, ability to provide instruction, communicate with parents, and participate in staff meetings in both languagesProficient in Google WorkspaceKnowledge and understanding of Special Education needs and servicesSkills in Community Outreach to build connections and strengthen support for studentsStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsMaster's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related fieldLicensure or certification as a School Counselor (or eligibility to secure one in Colorado)Experience working in a diverse or multicultural educational setting is a plusFamiliarity with Montessori education and dual-language programs is an advantage
