Department/Unit:HBD - Maternal-Fetal PracticeWork Shift:Day (United States of America)Salary Range:$83,200.00 - $128,960.00RN – Full TimeMaternal-Fetal MedicineWork schedule: Monday – FridayAlbany, NYOur Women’s Health Office located in Albany,NY is seeking an RN to join our dynamic Women's Health team in our high-risk Maternal Fetal division! We offer a friendly team-oriented work environment centered on efficient, compassionate patient care.Under the Supervision of the Nursing Supervisor and/or Nurse Manager, the RN provides nursing support to primary and subspecialty providers. This is demonstrated using the nursing process to work collaboratively with the health-care team in planning, directing, providing and evaluating patient care. The RN is defined within the department to provide patient care, triage, consultation and referral among team members.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:Obtains and accurately record patient’s vital signs; reports abnormal values to treating providerObtains and documents a patient’s history (Medical, Surgical and Social) and focused physical assessment, related to the clinic visit and as dictated by clinic procedure Administers medications and treatments to patients in clinic, under the direction of a physician or APPParticipates in in-office procedure, as related to clinic specialty, under the direction and supervision of a Physician or APP and documents results in EHRPerforms review and triage of incoming test results, patient requests and pharmacy renewals; facilitates call-backs to patients as necessaryFacilitates the utilization of resources to meet patient outcomes and contribute to Facility (AMC), New York State and National Quality data metricsDelegates tasks deemed appropriate per licensure of LPN and/or MAAdheres to AMC’s regulatory agency (The Joint Commission) and internal compliance policiesOrientation and education of newly hired staff Completes continuous/annual education related to Clinic specialty to maintain knowledge base on current practicesProvides education to patients related to their visit and overall health and wellness Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s degree of a state accredited Registered Nursing program is requiredNYS current RN licensure to practice professional nursing is requiredCurrent CPR certification required - American Heart AssociationExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
