A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position is available supporting students with emotional challenges in a school setting. This contract role involves providing behavioral support while traveling on a microbus, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for the students during transit. Location: Augusta, ME Schedule: 27.5 to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday Hours: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM and 12:45 PM - 3:15 PM Key Responsibilities: Provide behavior support to two students during bus transportation from Farmington to Rumford and back. Monitor and assist students with emotional challenges who do not have cognitive impairments or adaptive needs. Ensure safety protocols are followed, including the use of a safety harness and vest on one student to prevent disruptions. Engage students using on-board resources such as a DVD player during transit. Collaborate with school staff and maintain communication regarding student behavior and progress. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. Experience working with students facing emotional challenges. Ability to safely supervise students in a moving vehicle. Strong observational and communication skills. Reliable and punctual with a commitment to student safety and well-being.
