The Iowa Department of Revenue's Lottery Division is currently seeking a District Sales Representative that will join Region 1. The Region is comprised ofAudubon, Cass, Guthrie and Adair Counties.The Lottery Division provides responsible entertainment and prizes to the public, generating revenue for state programs, including support for veterans, economic development, law enforcement, education and this position you will act as a representative of the State of Iowa Lottery performing the following duties:Manage sales, marketing, and promotion of lottery ticketsTravel to retail outlets in your assigned territory to distribute lottery tickets and point-of-sale promotional materialsEstablish and develop sales promotions at retail outletsMaintain security of lottery tickets at all times and explain proper handling of lottery tickets to real outlets to ensure secure selling environments at each retail locationAnalyze retailer data to optimize the promotion and sale of lottery ticketsThis representative will need to live in Audubon, Cass, Guthrie or Adair CountiesPreference will be given to candidates with the following:Previous experience making sales calls to retailersExperience recruiting new customersAbility to work with time constraints and deadlinesJob Specific Competencies:Sales and Marketing - Principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
