Laborer III (Custodial / Plant)Mid-Maine Waste Action Corporation - Auburn, MEDepartment: Maintenance | Reports To: Maintenance ManagerFull-Time PositionJob SummaryMid-Maine Waste Action Corporation (MMWAC) is seeking a dependable Laborer III to support plant operations through custodial services, material handling, and general facility support at our waste-to-energy facility.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine janitorial services in offices, restrooms, locker rooms, control rooms, and plant areasClean, paint, and maintain facility and equipmentAssist Operations and Maintenance during outages and daily work activitiesOperate material handling equipment (forklifts, loaders, cranes, trucks) once qualifiedSupport plant operations as assigned, including crane operationFill in at Scale House or Recycling operations when trainedPerform winter duties including plowing, shoveling, sanding, and site safetyRun facility-related errands and perform other assigned dutiesRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid Class "C" Maine Driver's LicenseAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to follow oral and written instructionsSelf-motivated with good safety awarenessCustodial or labor experience preferredPhysical RequirementsLift, push, and pull 80+ lbs regularlyClimb ladders and work at heights (75+ ft)Work in confined spaces and industrial environmentsWork outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to wear respirator and required PPEScheduleMust be flexible to support outages, snow removal, emergency cleanups, and coverage needsJob Type: Full-timePay: $23.62 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceLanguage:English (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Auburn, ME Preferred)Ability to Relocate:Auburn, ME 04210: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In person
