Join our team, and together we will make a difference and change the world.Job DescriptionThe Transportation Services Group (TSG) has an immediate need for a Regional Team Leader for the New England (CT, MA, NH, NY) Transportation Design team. The candidate must be based in either Boston, MA, Hartford, CT or the Manchester, NH offices of CDM Smith.Responsibilities Of This Position Will IncludeSupporting your employees' career journeyCommunicating, integrating, connecting, and engaging with your team membersActively participating in your team members' career paths, including identifying and completing appropriate training, achieving professional registration/certification, and assigning challenging projectsSelecting a suitable mentor for your employees as part of the Structured Mentoring Program- Career CompassCelebrating team members at important milestones (i.e., work anniversaries, promotions, professional registration, etc.)Conducting timely and authentic annual performance appraisals, coordinating with technical mentors, project managers, TDMs, and othersResponsibility for leveraging and application of intellectual property, especially as it relates to TSG Community of Practice participationRecruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees (as approved with the TDM) to support TSG project workload and overall firm growthDelivering a legendary client experience with attention to qualityInstilling a sense of personal ownership for work product quality by each member of your teamCoordinating workload within your Technical Services group and utilization goals for the individuals on your teamResponsibility for the direct labor (DL) budget and net hiring delivered for the teamCoordinating with your TDM for appropriate technical staff assignmentsDelivering appropriate sales support, as coordinated with the TDMOperational tasks that support our goal to remain privateApproving time sheets and expense reports in a timely mannerEnsuring your team members complete all required training (Compliance, Health & Safety, Ethics, etc.) on timeEnsuring your team members are compliant with QA/QC and Health & Safety procedures for project deliveryMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.Professional engineering (PE) license.12 years of related experience.Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
