Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

An independent, non-profit acute care community hospital on the Southern Coast of New Jersey is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with surgical office experience to join our growing, collaborative provider team. As a key member of our Surgical Team, you will support both general and vascular surgery patients in the clinic and hospital settings, with the opportunity to expand your skills as a First Assist in the OR.Position OverviewIn this role, you will:Support general and vascular surgical specialties within the same clinical locationConduct patient evaluations in the outpatient settingCoordinate care with physicians, imaging centers, and specialty providersOrder and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory studiesManage prescription refills and prior authorizationsTriage patient calls and electronic messagesProvide wound care, including dressing changes and debridementsCollaborate closely with Anesthesia, ED, Hospitalists, and surgical teamsReview pre-op clearances and intervene as needed for abnormal resultsFinalize discharge documentation and coordinate follow-up careEducate patients on post-discharge care and recovery expectationsPerform in-hospital surgery consultations and patient roundsAssist with and perform procedures as appropriateCompensation & BenefitsGenerous salary + incentive compensationGenerous PTOCME allowanceMalpractice coveragePayment of required license renewals and certificationsComprehensive health benefits and 401(k)Requirements:2 Years of experience working in a Surgical role as a Nurse PractitionerNurse Practitioner certificationHave or ability to obtain a valid NJ State Board APN license, CDS and DEACommunity:Nestled along the southern New Jersey coastline, this vibrant community offers the charm of a waterfront town with easy access to larger cities.
