D365 Architect / Systems AdministratorRead on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Location: Atlanta, GA or Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)Travel: Required between ATL and Indy during implementation phaseCompensation: $130,000-$150,000 base + 10-20% bonusEmployment Type: Direct HirePosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly technical, hands-on D365 Architect / Systems Administrator to play a critical role in the enterprise-wide implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365. This individual will serve as the primary internal technical owner of the D365 platform, working closely with leadership and the system integrator (BDO) as the organization transitions from design into build phase.This role will report directly to John Peyton (Indianapolis) and will be responsible for architecting, executing, validating, and ultimately supporting the D365 environment across multiple operating companies. The implementation will replace four disparate ERP systems and focus initially on Financials and workflow capabilities within D365.This is not a purely strategic role. The ideal candidate must be hands-on, technical, execution-focused, and capable of operating in a fast-paced transformation environment.Implementation & Transformation ResponsibilitiesServe as the internal technical lead for the D365 implementation.Partner with BDO (System Integrator) to validate architecture, design decisions, and execution strategy.Actively participate in build activities during implementation phase.Architect and manage the D365 Financials and workflow environment.Support migration from four legacy ERP systems into a unified D365 platform.Identify and mitigate risks throughout the implementation lifecycle.Provide structured documentation of configurations, integrations, and technical decisions using modern documentation practices and tools.Ideal Candidate ProfileHighly technical and execution-focused.Comfortable in high-volume information environments with multiple operating companies.Strong interpersonal skills; able to "read the room" and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.Stable tenure preferred, though experienced contractors open to full-time roles will be considered.Cultural alignment important "” collaborative, relationship-oriented, and comfortable in a professional, relationship-driven corporate environment.Travel & Work ExpectationsMust be based in Atlanta or Indianapolis.During the implementation phase (approximately 12 months):If based in Atlanta: alternating weeks between ATL and Indy.Post go-live: travel reduces to approximately 2-3 days per month.Hybrid schedule.Success MetricsFirst 60 Days: Fully engaged in implementation activities and contributing to build execution.90 Days: Operating independently and owning major components of the platform.Ongoing: Reduction of implementation risk, increased system stability, and successful go-live execution.Demonstrated ability to manage pace and complexity of a multi-entity ERP transformation.Willingness to "roll up sleeves" immediately"”no extended onboarding runway.Technical RequirementsDemonstrated experience managing and architecting a Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment (F&O preferred).Strong Azure integration experience (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Entra ID, etc.).Experience supporting ERP implementations from design through go-live.Deep understanding of ERP financial modules and workflow automation.Experience validating third-party system integrator work.Strong documentation discipline and technical governance mindset.Ability to operate hands-on ("hands on keyboard") in both build and support phases.Post-Implementation Platform OwnershipOwn ongoing administration, governance, and operational support of D365.Manage environments (Production, UAT, Dev, Sandbox).Oversee security model, user access, role-based permissions, and compliance controls.Monitor performance, system health, integrations, and data integrity.Manage release cycles, upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements. xijylhu Build and help scale an internal D365 team (projected to grow to 3 members over two years).#IT123
