Role: Senior Controls EngineerLocation: Atlanta, GATerm: PermanentSalary: $130,000 - $150,000 per annum.Our client, a growing automation systems integrator delivering custom production and manufacturing solutions across industrial sectors, is seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join their team in the Atlanta area.This position will focus on developing, programming, and supporting advanced automation systems and production equipment projects across a range of manufacturing environments, working closely with both customers and internal engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.The Senior Controls Engineer role will involve:• Developing and supporting PLC, HMI, and automation control systems for custom production equipment and manufacturing systems • Collaborating with customers and internal engineering teams to support project execution and technical problem solving • Reading, interpreting, and troubleshooting electrical schematics and control system designs • Supporting commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and system optimization activities • Working with multiple automation platforms, safety systems, and industrial technologies across complex automation projects • Supporting projects within fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environments • Traveling domestically and internationally as required to support customer sites and project activitiesThe Senior Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or similar technical discipline • 10+ years of experience working with PLC-based automation systems and production equipment • Strong experience with Siemens and Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLC platforms • Experience with HMI development across platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Omron, or Beckhoff • Understanding of electrical design standards, schematics, and troubleshooting practices • Experience with industrial robotics, machine vision systems, or safety PLCs is highly beneficial • Ability to work independently while also collaborating within cross-functional engineering teams • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers in technical project environments • Comfortable working within high-pressure, deadline-driven automation projectsFor more information about this Senior Controls Engineer - Industrial Automation opportunity, please apply or contact Jack Smillie at Jsmillie@ for a detailed discussion.Premier Group
