Carrier Procurement Representative

Do you want to work in an energetic culture with excellent career growth while learning from our industry-experienced team members?Then we invite you to apply!As a Carrier Procurement Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Fastway's services in accordance with established sales policies and procedures, and in pursuit of the company's goals and objectives.Total compensation potential $60,000-70,000 annually.Your day-to-day:Calling carriers daily and following up on potential businessCommunicating with carrier operations to track loadsBuilding out your internal carrier network for optimal coverageQuoting customers and providing up-to-date informationParticipating in the growth of new businessEstablishing and maintaining relationships with carriersCollaborating with coworkers in a team-oriented environmentManage relationships with current carriers to provide excellent service to our existing customersNegotiate competitive rates with carriers depending on current market ratesMonitor progress of shipments on a daily basis to ensure coverage, on-time performance, and addressing any mid-transit issuesCommunicate load details and shipment parameters to carrier dispatch and drivers throughout the lifespan of the shipmentOther duties as assignedWhat we look for:Bachelor's degree in business or related fieldStrong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsHigh sense of urgency in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsPossess organizational skills in a detail-oriented settingTeam player with ability to multi-task in a results-driven environmentMS Office skills and related computer knowledgeBalanced operations and sales mentalityNo experience required - Training will be providedDrug screen and background check will be performed.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
