Job Description:
18 Month ContractRequired Qualifications:Graduate degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline.Minimum of 3 years of experience in cultural resource management, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.Preferred: 5 years of related experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Experience planning, directing, conducting, reviewing, and/or reporting on archaeological investigations and cultural resource surveys.Strong understanding of cultural resource compliance requirements, archaeological methodologies, and reporting standards.Experience conducting background research, cultural resource screening, and field investigations.Working knowledge of GIS applications and mapping tools.Strong report writing, technical review, and documentation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with:Project managersEngineersLegal counselRegulatory agenciesThird-party consultants and stakeholdersStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the required knowledge and skills may be considered.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting utility, infrastructure, transportation, or environmental projects.Familiarity with federal and state cultural resource regulations and compliance processes.Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies and tribal representatives.Knowledge of GIS-based cultural resource analysis and spatial data management.Supervisory or project leadership experience within consulting or environmental services environments.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct and oversee archaeological and cultural resource surveys, investigations, and assessments.Prepare, review, and manage technical reports and compliance documentation.Perform records reviews, background research, and cultural resource screenings.Utilize GIS tools for mapping, data analysis, and project support activities.Coordinate with internal teams, regulatory agencies, consultants, and external stakeholders.Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.Ensure compliance with applicable cultural resource management regulations and company standards.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and field teams.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cultural resource management practices and project delivery.
