A small B2B SaaS company is looking for a Fractional Marketing Strategist to join their team inAsheville, NC.Pay: $2-5K/monthThis role is part-time, 5 hours per week.MUST be based in Asheville, NC - This requires onsite work and there is no relocation. Looking for a strategic marketing partner "” someone who decides what gets made and why, sets the plan, and briefs the execution contractor. You'd be the small company version of a Head of Marketing. You'd own the "above the work" layer and work alongside an execution contractor who owns the "in the work" layer.Responsibilities:Positioning and messaging: who they're for, what they sell, how they talk about itQuarterly marketing plan tied to sales motion, podcast release cadence, and CFMA eventsContent strategy: which podcast episodes to lean into, what themes to build series around, what not to bother withBriefing and reviewing execution contractor's output "” raising the bar, not redoing the workMonthly one-page metrics review: what they're actually moving (pipeline, podcast reach, inbound quality), with recommendationsAdvising on brand voice, website messaging, sales collateral, event presence, and the podcast's own evolutionQualifications:6+ years in B2B SaaS marketing; Ideally you've led or co-led marketing at a sub-$5M ARR company and know how to get leverage from very little budgetOpinionated on positioning, ICP, and content pillars; You can walk me through three companies you've sharpened and what you changedPlayer-coach mindset: You mostly brief and review, but you'll occasionally roll up your sleeves (e.g., rewrite a homepage, draft a launch narrative)Construction, finance, accounting, or vertical-SaaS adjacency is a meaningful plusComfortable working with a remote execution contractor in a different timezone: clear briefs, async feedback, respect for their hoursBased in Asheville and up for a weekly in-person working session
