Network Project Manager II - Telecom Infrastructure & Install CoordinationLocation: Ashburn, VA Employment Type: Hybrid | ContractTarget Experience: 3-5 YearsIndustry: Telecommunications / Network Infrastructure / Data & Transport EngineeringJoin a fast-paced telecom engineering environment supporting large-scale network infrastructure deployments across Packet Core, Public IP, and next-generation transport networks. This role is ideal for a hands-on Project Manager with strong construction coordination and telecom infrastructure experience who can successfully drive installation activities, vendor management, material logistics, and field execution for mission-critical network builds.This position plays a key role in coordinating end-to-end install activities for complex telecom deployments including Packet Core, BNG, MSE, PPR, and Public IP initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong project leadership skills with technical field knowledge to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with engineering and operational requirements.You will work directly with engineering, field operations, installation vendors, and leadership teams to manage highly visible capital projects supporting critical network infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex deployments, solve real-time field challenges, and drive successful project delivery within one of the most demanding and evolving areas of telecommunications infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesLead multiple telecom infrastructure projects from planning through installation and turnoverCoordinate and drive Preliminary Engineering Conferences (PECs), site surveys, and installation scheduling activitiesManage the complete material lifecycle including ordering, tracking, delivery coordination, and inventory verificationInterface with field engineering, operations teams, installation vendors, and construction crews to ensure deployment readinessInterpret engineering designs and communicate project scope, technical requirements, and installation expectations to field teamsDrive vendor performance and ensure adherence to project schedules, milestones, and quality standardsProactively identify and resolve project bottlenecks, field issues, and operational risksSupport deployment efforts related to Packet Core, BNG, MSE, PPR, TL, PIP, and Public IP network buildsMaintain accurate project documentation, reporting, budgeting, and capital expense trackingCollaborate with internal stakeholders to improve workflows, productivity, and installation processesRequired Qualifications3+ years of Project Management experience within telecommunications or network infrastructure environmentsProven experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating outsourced vendors and field teamsStrong understanding of telecom construction and physical infrastructure including:Fiber ladders and cable ladder systemsStructured cabling standardsPower requirements and rack elevationsRouters, switches, and network equipment installationsExperience coordinating field installations, site readiness activities, and deployment logisticsAbility to read and interpret engineering designs and installation scopes of workPrior experience with Verizon tools including Canvas and CCP is requiredStrong Microsoft Excel and Google Suite proficiency for reporting and project trackingExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExperience managing capital projects, budgets, and material procurement activitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Packet Core, BNG, MSE, PPR, Public IP, or transport network deploymentsFamiliarity with Juniper and Cisco network equipmentExperience with SRM and/or SAP systems for procurement and capital managementEngineering or telecom operations background strongly preferredPMP Certification highly preferredMilitary experience is a plusBachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred; Technical Degree strongly preferredTechnology & ToolsVerizon CanvasVerizon CCPSAP / SRMMicrosoft ExcelGoogle WorkspaceJuniper Networking EquipmentCisco Networking EquipmentWork EnvironmentHybrid schedule with 2-3 days onsite weeklyInitial onboarding/training period may require increased onsite presenceFast-paced telecom deployment environment supporting critical network infrastructure initiativesHeavy coordination with engineering, operations, vendors, and field installation teams
