Be part of something special.Our Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) practice in the Washington, DC metro area is seeking a Sr. Project Controls Specialist with transportation engineering and/or construction experience to lead our managed services project controls and scheduling support team at an agency of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation.This individual will be responsible for the following tasks:Work collaboratively with the program support team consisting of 3 - 4 Project Control Specialists assigned to the program to manage a portfolio of large transportation engineering design and construction projectsPerform project controls and scheduling support tasks for projects across 31 states, Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin IslandsLead initiatives to define and execute leading practice project controls strategies that mitigate operational and administrative schedule issues while improving schedule integrity, efficiency and productivity across all assigned project controls and scheduling tasksEffectively utilize Oracle Primavera P6 to perform required project controls and scheduling support tasks at both the program and project level across all project phasesAnalyze assigned project schedules and generate periodic and/or ad-hoc reports for project stakeholders to provide in depth insight of project health to enable informed decision makingProvide bi-weekly/monthly status reports to the Chief of Engineering, Branch Chiefs, Construction Engineers, Program Managers, Project Managers, Functional Managers etc.Work collaboratively with the project stakeholders to ensure the satisfactory fulfillment of all service level agreementsMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 5 years of project controls and scheduling experience in a large transportation engineering, construction, energy, utilities or public works environmentMust possess at least 5 years of project controls and scheduling experience using Oracle Primavera P6 Professional or EPPM v21 or higherMinimum of 2 years leading high performing project controls teamsExperience and good understanding of supporting scheduling activities at both the project and program level within all phases of the projectPrior experience utilizing Earned Value Analysis, Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and Float AnalysisMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENTMUST BE ABLE TO PASS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE PROCESSCANDIDATES ON THE CENTRAL OR EASTERN TIME ZONES PREFERREDCOMPENSATION:Annual base salary is $100,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience)Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (depending on experience and perceived value to team)10% annual performance bonusBenefits include 15 days of PTO, 11 paid public holidays, medical, dental, vision, 4% employer match 401K plan, educational assistance, life insurance, short and long term disability insurance, etc.If you are interested in this position, please send an updated resume and salary information to resumes@ as soon as possible to be considered.
