Job Description:
Our client, an Aerospace Company in the Seattle area, is looking for a Machine Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on CNC machines and equipment.Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Job Description:Inspect and adjust machine geometry, alignment, and leveling (linear/rotary axes, tool changers, pallet systems)Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control systemsIdentify root causes and execute repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls, including sourcing necessary partsConduct post-repair testing to ensure equipment is fully operationalPlan and prioritize work, including ordering parts and staging tools/equipmentDevelop maintenance procedures when documentation is lacking and create tools or fixtures as neededMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationFollow and enforce lockout/tagout safety proceduresCollaborate with team members and support cross-functional work effortsOversee and coordinate external contractors performing maintenance or repairsSupport additional maintenance-related tasks as neededRequired Skills/Experience:2-3 years of experience in maintenance or equipment repairHands-on experience or knowledge of CNC systems (FANUC, Siemens, Mazatrol, etc.)Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsStrong troubleshooting mindset with attention to detailSolid communication skills and ability to work well on a teamKnowledge of safety practices, including lockout/tagoutComfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment (e.g., multimeter)Basic math and problem-solving skillsAbility to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, or similar equipmentPreferred BackgroundKnowledge or experience with 5-axis CNC machinesExperience with CNC machines such as Makino, Mazak, Mori Seiki, Starrag, Handtmann, or ChironTechnical training, military background, or vocational certificationFamiliarity with Windows-based systems
