Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead daily after-school activities, enrichment projects, homework support, and special themed events, including arts & crafts and hands-on learning experiencesCreate a positive, inclusive environment where students feel safe, supported, and engaged after the school daySupervise, train, and support after-school staff, including implementing curriculum and enrichment activities to ensure high-quality program deliveryEnsure student safety and maintain compliance with all state licensing regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school guidelinesCommunicate regularly with families using the Playground App and provide support during parent orientations and program eventsSupport community outreach efforts to promote the program and engage prospective familiesLead by example with enthusiasm, professionalism, positivity, and a solution-focused attitudeRequirementsQualifications:• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of ageEducation and Experience Requirements:Candidate must meet one Virginia-approved qualification pathway:Graduate degree in a child-related field (e.g., education, child development, nursing, recreation) with a minimum six (6) months of programmatic experienceBachelor's degree or endorsement in a child-related field with a minimum one (1) year of programmatic experienceForty-eight (48) semester hours or seventy-two (72) quarter hours from an accredited college or university, including at least twelve (12) semester hours or eighteen (18) quarter hours in child-related subjects, and a minimum one (1) year of programmatic experienceMinimum two (2) years of programmatic experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory rolePLUS one of the following:One-year early childhood certificate consisting of at least thirty (30) semester hoursChild Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalentCertification from a recognized Montessori organizationManagement Requirements:Management experience is defined as at least six (6) months in an administrative role involving supervising, orienting, training, and scheduling staff, OR completion of one of the following: one college-level business course, ten (10) clock hours of management training, or one child care management course covering planning, budgeting, staffing, and monitoringEmployment Screening Requirements:Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings required by Virginia state regulationsPreferred Qualifications:Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certificationPART-TIME BENEFITSEmployer Paid Childcare - Available for school-age children (ages 5-12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you are working with usTelehealth BenefitsVision InsuranceDental InsuranceAFLAC Supplemental Plans401(k) for eligible employeesPaid Sick Time OffOn-Demand PayCareer DevelopmentGrowth OpportunitiesAbout Healthy Kids ProgramsHealthy Kids Programs is more than a childcare provider.
