Essential Functions: HTS code classification Coordinates with Freight Forwarders and partners to ensure import shipments are properly documented. Coordinate and distribute all documentation for incoming consolidations and direct shipments. Oversee freight forwarders, understand various modes of transportation, for the most efficient and timely movement of freight forwarding and delivery. Ensure that all documents required by U.S. Customs regulations are correct and complete to include customer compliance coordinated with Import Broker Set up all necessary arrangements indicated on Advance Information for the smooth movement of import freight. Perform customer service duties with correspondence to customers and overseas partners via email or phone. Assist in the implementation of customer service policies and procedures to ensure that the service that is being provided is of the appropriate standard and level. Maintain procedural control of import processes ensuring compliance with customs and government regulations and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Track and log shipments Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience with HTS codes Minimum 1-3 years of ocean, air, and international logistics experience A quick learner with a "Can-Do" attitude and strong prioritization skills Exceptional customer service skills Solid understanding of the international forwarding business for both Ocean & Air Imports.
