Job SummaryThe Mobile Equipment Operator/Plant Maintenance position includes a combination of duties involving the general maintenance and operation of an aggregate plant. The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.CompensationResponsibilitiesComplete daily service requirements of the aggregate plant for preventative maintenance issuesFabricate and repair conveyors and hoppersTroubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems to ensure minimal cost and prevent operational delaysRepair crusher, i.e. liner changes, oil systems and operations, monitor and change worn partsRepair conveyor systems, i.e. bearing replacement, drive systems, change screen cloths, structural fabricationGeneral maintenance of water pumps and electrical requirements and wear-prevention of equipmentOperate mobile equipment including heavy haul trucksGeneral labor duties such as shoveling and sweepingEducationHigh school diploma/GEDRequirements/QualificationsValid class C commercial driver's licenseReliable attendance for varied work shifts including nights and weekendsMust be able to work independently and within a teamAbility to lift 95 lbs. infrequently, 50 lbs. frequently, and climb ladders/stairs up to 24’Ability to use various electric and air-powered hand, welding, and cutting tools as appropriateExperience in welding and fabricationPreferred:Familiarity with MSHA regulationsWorking knowledge of aggregate production and associated equipment; an understanding of operations and safety requirements for equipmentKnowledge of the type and quality of materials being producedConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
