This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) to provide specialized services within the school setting. Located in the Oviedo and Sanford areas of Florida, this contract role focuses on supporting K-12 students by conducting evaluations and delivering mobility training tailored to their individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive orientation and mobility evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Develop and implement individualized mobility plans to enhance student independence. Work directly with approximately three students per day, three days per week. Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to support student success. Maintain accurate records and comply with all licensing and credentialing requirements. Qualifications and Experience: National Orientation and Mobility Licensure is required. Valid driver's license and social security card. Professional license (physical copy required). Successful completion of fingerprinting through an official Field Print location. Ability to complete necessary credentialing documentation, including Form 1403 and I-9. Experience working within school environments is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Contract Details: Start date available immediately. Short-term contract lasting approximately three weeks. Part-time hours, ranging from 15 to 20 hours per week. On-site work primarily, though travel candidates will be considered.
