Job#: 3029257 Job Description: Laboratory Support Specialist Location: Antioch, California (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Role Overview Under general supervision, this position collects water and wastewater samples. The role involves performing physical, chemical, biological, and bacteriological analysis of water, wastewater, and industrial waste samples using professional laboratory procedures and approved analysis methods. This position also verifies compliance with regulatory requirements and validates the accuracy of completed work. Key Responsibilities * Collect water and wastewater samples according to established protocols. * Perform physical, chemical, biological, and bacteriological analysis on various samples. * Utilize professional laboratory procedures and approved analysis methods. * Analyze industrial waste samples to ensure regulatory compliance. * Verify adherence to regulatory requirements through testing and documentation. * Validate the accuracy and reliability of all completed laboratory work. Required Qualifications Education: An Associate's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is required. Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a laboratory performing basic chemical analysis is required. Preferred Qualifications * A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biological Science. * Experience in an environmental laboratory analyzing water and wastewater samples.
