Please review the job details below.Vantor is seeking an experienced Cyber Operations Capabilities Developer to build advanced offensive cyber tooling in support of mission-critical operations. This role is focused on developing low-level, high-performance capabilities used in real-world environments.This is a highly technical position suited for engineers with deep hands-on experience in systems programming, reverse engineering, and offensive capability development. Candidates should be comfortable working across the full lifecycle—from research and development to operational deployment.What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain cyber capabilities using C and PythonDesign modular, scalable tooling for operational usePerform cross-compilation across multiple architectures and platformsConduct reverse engineering and low-level system analysisContribute to vulnerability research and exploit developmentBuild and integrate implants and tooling with C2 frameworksCollaborate with operators to iterate on mission-driven requirementsMaintain clean, version-controlled codebases and reproducible buildsRequired QualificationsActive TS/SCI clearanceBachelors degree is technical disciplineMinimum of 5 years experienceStrong, recent experience with:C (systems-level programming)Python (tooling, scripting, automation)Proficiency with Git and modern development practicesHands-on experience in several of the following areas:Cross-compilation for diverse targetsReverse engineering (e.g., GDB, IDA Pro, Ghidra)Vulnerability research or exploit developmentDevelopment of modular implants or payload frameworksProcess injection or similar low-level techniquesCommand and Control (C2) systems (e.g., Mythic, Cobalt Strike, Vermilion Strike)Network stack programming (sockets, protocols, TCP/IP)Preferred Experience8 years experienceStrong background in *nix environments (Linux preferred)Windows expertise will be considered with equivalent depthDemonstrated experience building complex offensive tooling end-to-endHighly desirable: experience developing and cross compiling a full Remote Access Tool (RAT)Familiarity with secure coding practices and testing methodologiesMust be willing to work on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD.Nice to HaveExperience with:Mbed TLSCMockaPrompt ToolkitClickPoetry#cjpost#LI-CJ1#LI-OnsiteIn support of pay transparency at Vantor, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington:$92,000.00 - $195,000.00 annually.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
