Kids Ministry Leader (Part-Time)Position Title: Kids Ministry LeaderReports To: Executive DirectorSchedule: Approximately 20 hours/week; includes 9 hours of weekly programmingMission / Role SummaryThe Kids Ministry Leader provides spiritual leadership for the children of That NeighborhoodChurch. This role focuses on teaching biblical truth, equipping volunteers, and creating a safe andwelcoming environment where children can encounter Jesus and grow in their faith. The idealcandidate is passionate about inner-city ministry and committed to building relationships thatpoint children and families toward hope in Christ.Key Responsibilities1. Discipleship• Plan and lead weekly Bible time during After-School Programming (ASP)• Coordinate lesson plans and activities• Ensure a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment2. Curriculum & Teaching• Select or develop Gospel-centered curriculum• Teach lessons and equip volunteers to teach• Ensure biblical accuracy and age-appropriate, culturally relevant engagement• Integrate prayer, Scripture, and small groups into weekly programming3. Volunteer Leadership• Recruit, train, and support volunteers serving in ASP• Provide clear expectations and ongoing encouragement• Foster a "Living Sent" culture among volunteers4. Spiritual Discipleship• Build meaningful relationships with children attending programs• Encourage spiritual conversations and prayer• Follow up with children expressing spiritual interest or questions5. Family Engagement• Communicate with parents about programming and events• Encourage families in supporting their children's spiritual growth• Follow up with new families attending the program6.
