Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Job DescriptionJob Title: Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Location: Ann Arbor, MichiganJob Type: Full-time / Part-time (20 hours mininum)Job Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavior analysis services for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and other behavioral challenges. The BCBA will assess, design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to improve client outcomes and promote skill acquisition. The BCBA will work closely with clients, their families, caregivers, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for behavioral and social growth.Key Responsibilities: Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes and functions of challenging behaviors in clients. Develop and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that are evidence-based, effective, and tailored to meet each client's unique needs. Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions focused on behavior modification, skill acquisition, and social-emotional development. Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other support staff to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans and interventions. Monitor client progress, collect data, and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure ongoing effectiveness. Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans and strategies that can be implemented across environments (home, school, community). Provide training and support to families and caregivers on behavior management techniques and strategies. Conduct regular reviews and maintain detailed records of client progress, session notes, and reports in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and staff supervision sessions. Stay current with developments in behavior analysis, attending relevant training, conferences, and workshops to maintain BCBA certification.Requirements: Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Professional Liability Insurance. Strong understanding of ABA principles and evidence-based practices in behavior analysis. Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Experience in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex behavioral concepts in an understandable manner to families and other professionals. Strong data collection, analysis, and report writing skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassion, patience, and a commitment to helping individuals achieve their potential. Ability to maintain ethical and professional behavior in accordance with BACB guidelines.Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in school, clinical, or home settings. Supervision experience with RBTs or other behavior therapy staff. Experience with a variety of behavioral concerns, such as aggression, self-injury, social skills deficits, or communication challenges.
