Job Requisition: CASAC001156 Employment Type: Full-time Shift: Evening Hours Per Week: 40 hours Hiring Range: Please see Listed below: CASAC-T $21.22- $23.34 CASAC- $21.84- $ 28.39 CASAC -Level II $22.44 -$29.17 CASAC Advanced $23.91- $31.09 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Responsibilities: Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides or supports direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions. Observes and documents patient behaviors, progress, and changes in condition; communicates findings to the healthcare team and contributes suggestions for treatment plan modifications. Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients to support engagement in care. Provides counseling services and case management, including assessment and treatment of substance use disorders using evidence-based tools and strategies, as permitted under CASAC guidelines. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in accordance with reporting and recordkeeping standards. Assists in care coordination, including discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team to support timely, efficient, and patient-centered outcomes. Education: High school diploma or GED and two years of relevant experience required or associate's degree or technical degree in a related field required. Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Required Credential(s): Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), issued by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date. Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
