Accounts Payable Specialist Hope For Youth is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. To be a successful Accounts Payable Specialist at Hope For Youth, you must be ready, willing and able to do the following always: Posting invoices with an understanding of cost allocation Managing the aging A/P Investigating invoice discrepancies Scheduling and preparing checks Maintaining files and documentation for monthly contract vouchers Identifying sales tax related issues Maintaining fixed asset ledger Responsible for credit card review and monitoring Maintaining non-payroll expense allocations Processing IRS1099 forms via independent reporting portal Performing other resulting and necessary work to meet the needs and requirements of the clients, the program, Hope For Youth, oversight agency and any other regulatory obligations How you will generally spend your time in this job: Providing administration support to senior staff Assisting in preparing schedules on Excel Other finance projects as assigned Auditing benefit invoices to payroll (ADP) records Maintaining tax exemption files Maintaining vendor file information Preparing purchase orders Related paperwork and processing Other finance assignments Minimum qualifications: Associate degree in accounting or equivalent credits or experience Accounts payable (preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience working for a not-for-profit organization (preferred) Experience using Fund EZ accounting software (preferred) Physical requirements: read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements Excellent training and leadership opportunities available throughout employment and more.
