Supervising Pharmacist - Altoona, Pennsylvania

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Pharmacy Manager to lead the retail pharmacy department in Altoona, PA. This full-time, direct hire position offers a dynamic role managing pharmacy operations and driving business growth within a collaborative store environment. The schedule includes variable day and afternoon shifts, averaging 36 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Foster a collaborative relationship with the store operations team to enhance associate engagement and communicate strategic objectives. Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance through comprehensive Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in line with state and federal regulations. Lead department profitability by growing prescription volume via clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) when available. Coordinate inventory control by monitoring sales trends and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet demand efficiently. Align team performance to measurable departmental metrics to optimize effectiveness and efficiency. Deliver excellent customer service and healthcare counseling to build trust and loyalty. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, handling training, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Maintain pharmacy security and manage customer complaints and issues promptly. Engage with healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related concerns. Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department. Implement ongoing training and personnel development strategies to improve performance and reduce turnover. Prioritize and execute daily department tasks, including cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-call follow-up. Qualifications: Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree. Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License. Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
