JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: NPPA - Emergency Medicine • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Alton, IL • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: May 1, 2026 - Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible Schedule (Exact shifts TBD) COVERAGE DATES • May 1, 2026 - Ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics • Admissions: Yes • Case Mix: Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION • Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Physician collaboration required • Support Staff Available: Physicians and Emergency Department staff • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Emergency patient evaluation and management • Acute care stabilization • Interpretation of diagnostic tests JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active IL Nurse Practitioner license required • Board: Board Certified (ANCC or AANP or equivalent) • DEA: Active DEA with Illinois address required • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required • Experience: Clinical experience within the past year (new grads considered) • Other Qualifications: Illinois Controlled Substance Registration required; collaborative agreement with physician required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide emergency medical care to patients across all age groups • Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans • Collaborate with physicians and emergency care team • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with protocols • Adhere to patient safety and quality standards
