Position Type: Student Support Services/PsychologistDate Posted: 4/13/2026Location: Newell Elementary SchoolDate Available: 09/01/2026Closing Date: 04/24/2026LOCATION: Newell Elementary School 27 High StreetAllentown, NJ 08501START DATE: September 1, 2026TITLE: School Psychologist REPORTS TO: Director of Student ServicesTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Employment with the potential of summer hoursQUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate NJDOE Certification- Endorsement #3100JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for but not limited to the following:Serve as a member of the elementary school Child Study TeamDevelop IEPs and conduct IEP meetingsActs as a liaison between parents, students, staff and outside agenciesProvide clinical services to at risk studentsConduct individual counseling sessionsFacilitate group counseling sessionsFacilitation of service linkage to community services for familiesCollaborate with multidisciplinary team and outside clinical service providersTrained in crisis response and de-escalationFacilitation of staff trainings on mental health and the impact of traumaPerforms all case managerial and therapeutic duties in accordance with State rules and regulations.EVALUATION:Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with State guidelines and the provision of the Board's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.SALARY:Pay for this position shall be in accordance with the UFREA collective bargaining agreement. All collective bargaining agreements are available on the District website via Collective Bargaining Agreements; Benefits available ranging from single to family coverage.
