Specialist I - Secondary PEIMS HS (2026-2027 School Year) Job Status: UNTIL FILLED Posting Date: 03/13/2026 Posting Number: 013395 Location: Allen High School Position Title: Specialist I - Secondary PEIMS HS (2026-2027 School Year) Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Principal Primary Purpose: Provide Skyward Program support for campus and verify accuracy of course files and student/family data. Maintain and update master schedule to ensure courses meet all state PEIMS requirements and district policies. Qualifications: Education/Certification: * High School Diploma Special Knowledge/Skills: * Working knowledge of information systems and the district's student database systems, Skyward, * including student management, scheduling, discipline, PEIMS, grading, and data mining * Ability to maintain documentation and assist end-users through various tactics, including telephone, email * and personal contact * Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills * Proficient in basic operations of Microsoft Office applications * Proficient in keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills * Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration might find appropriate and acceptable Experience: Major Responsibilities and Duties: * Work co-operatively with central administration PEIMS department and campus level administration to implement Skyward updates and updated procedures for PEIMS data entry and processing as required by Board, District, State and Federal policies and requirements. * Assist in the collection, integration, and formatting of all data required for PEIMS. * Collect, format and organize data reports as requested by campus administration. * Verify accuracy and update Course Catalog, Course Selection Wish List, and Master Schedule. * Work with campus and district administration to develop timeline and process for course selection within Skyward. * Run reports for course selection to determine number of sections, students missing requests, and courses with fall/spring enrollment. * Run Scheduler to place students in classes and reports to make course formatting adjustments to maximize the percentage of students scheduled successfully to minimize the number of schedules counselors must correct prior to school starting. (goal of 80% plus scheduled) * Maintain correct room numbers, teacher information, seat counts, credit hours, grade levels, prerequisites, and periods for all sections within the master schedule. * Develop and present staff development for para-professional and certified staff on the use of Skyward, Google Docs, Excel and Access. * Continually problem solving of software to maximize efficiency potential of Skyward, Excel, and Access. * Assist staff with Skyward questions and helping with trouble shooting to address issues. * Responsible for grade change requests and running reports for each grading period once approved. * Calculate electronically and verify manually GPA and class rank for grades 10-11 two times per year and grade 12 three times. * Provide GPA and rank data for upload into Naviance and to determine the Valedictorian and Salutatorian, top 10, top 10%, and top 25% of graduating class. * Maintain and update campus level Skyward modules for Student Management, Family Access, Current Scheduling, Future Scheduling, and Student Services. * Provide letters verifying student enrollment data for Office of Attorney General, Social Security, and other state/federal offices as requested and permitted by FERPA and board policy. * Create and update At-Risk student records according to TEA and PEIMS requirements as required * Assist with preparation and organization for EOC testing. * Support enrollment office as necessary. * Set up activity lists for UIL, Special Education Case Managers, club sponsors, and At-Risk groups in Skyward. * Approve Case Manager, LEP, UIL and club sponsor Monitor Lists in AWARE, and run reports. * Prepare, update and send various forms or documents in Google Docs. * Performs other duties as superintendent may assign.
