The ideal candidate will have foundational mechanical skills, strong organizational capabilities, and the physical stamina to tackle tasks in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. Assist in monitoring overall building system operations and performance under close supervision. Utilize various trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies concerning safety and building operations. Handle assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency responses, and preventive maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate logs of maintenance activities. Review and assess work orders, estimate necessary time and materials, and procure required supplies for completion. Support the installation and modification of building equipment systems. Assist in troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC systems. Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and regulations. Maintain facility lighting, including cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs as needed. Perform carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith duties as required. Respond promptly to emergencies and call for further assistance when needed. Execute additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience; a combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of a diploma. Meet physical requirements including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy objects of 50 lbs. or more. Follow structured work routines and standards efficiently. Strong communication skills for the exchange of straightforward information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a proactive mindset. Compensation: The maximum salary for the Facility Maintenance Specialist position is $70,000 annually. The offered compensation will depend on individual skills, qualifications, and experience.
