POSITION SUMMARY The HR Manager leads the design, implementation, and administration of the organization’s total rewards programs while overseeing day-to-day HR operations. This role ensures competitive and equitable compensation practices, cost-effective and compliant benefits programs, and high-quality HR service delivery. The HR Manager partners closely with organizational leaders and HR team members to strengthen culture, support employees, and advance strategic workforce priorities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support the HR team to ensure a high-performing, service-oriented function. Oversee daily HR operations including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, HRIS administration, and policy management. Develop and maintain efficient HR processes, systems, workflows, and service standards aligned with organizational goals. Manage HR budgeting, resource planning, vendor partnerships, and contract relationships. Ensure consistent, timely, and value-aligned delivery of HR programs and initiatives. CompensationDesign, implement, and maintain competitive compensation programs, including salary structures, job classifications, and incentive plans. Conduct market analyses, oversee completion of salary surveys, and internal equity reviews to inform pay decisions and maintain competitiveness. Lead annual compensation cycles (merit, bonus, adjustments), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. Advise leaders on job evaluations, pay recommendations, and FLSA classification decisions. Build and maintain compensation reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support leadership decision-making. BenefitsManage all employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, disability, and voluntary plans. Collaborate with brokers and vendors to design cost-effective, competitive benefit offerings. Lead annual open enrollment planning, communication, system updates, and execution. Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal and state regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA). Oversee day-to-day benefit administration and serve as an escalation point for complex issues. Total Rewards Strategy & AnalysisSupport the development and evolution of a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy that attracts, motivates, and retains employees. Monitor trends in compensation, benefits, workforce expectations, and regulatory changes. Use analytics and workforce insights to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend enhancements. Employee Support & CommunicationServe as a consultant to employees and leaders regarding compensation, benefits, and HR policy questions. Develop clear, effective communication materials to enhance employee understanding of total rewards and HR programs. Partner with HR Team to ensure timely HRIS data and reporting. Compliance & GovernanceEnsure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and regulatory reporting. Safeguard confidentiality and ensure strong data governance across HR functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required. 6+ years of progressive HR experience with significant involvement in compensation and/or benefits. Experience leading or supervising HR staff is strongly preferred. Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, CCP, or CBP strongly preferred. Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build a high-performing HR team. Deep knowledge of compensation and benefits practices and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. HRIS proficiency and advanced Excel skills (preferably UKG). Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and confidentiality. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
