Job Description SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR (Permanent) Our client, an established and well-known construction firm in WNY, is looking to hire a Senior Construction Estimator to join their growing team. Responsibilities: Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate/competitive estimates are developed and submitted Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, geotechnical data, etc. gathering necessary information to create bids Develop and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure labor and supply costs are current Participate in pre-project meetings, site visits, etc. prior to bid submission in order to gather all pertinent information-noting site conditions, logistics, and equipment/material required Take a proactive approach to completing special projects in a timely manner and ahead of deadlines Collaborate with internal team members to develop successful bid strategies, discuss project planning, and conduct risk management assessments Maintain organized records and templates Remain up to date on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance is maintained at all times Work well in a team environment, as well as independently Other duties as assigned/as necessary Details: Position is full-time, direct hire 100% in-office/on-site $75,000 - $135,000 annually depending on experience, bonus potential Full health coverage for individuals, employer-subsidized family plans, PTO (relaxed policy) Engineering degree is a plus, but not required 5+ years' experience in estimating experience in civil construction Knowledge of driven piles, caissons, auger cast piles, sheet piling, ground improvements, etc. is preferred Proficient computer skills, specifically Excel & various estimating software Strong organizational and time management skills Strong communication and presentation skills Strong attention to detail Self-motivated and able to work well independently while contributing collaboratively within a team environment Ability to travel within NYA for site assessments Relocation not available Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available All employees and applicants, please know that you have access at all times to New York State and Federal Labor Laws and Posters at the Government Agency websites:
