Delivery Driver / Material Handler

Empire Coating Inc is looking for a reliable, versatile individual to join our team in a hybrid capacity. The Delivery Driver / Material Handler role is split between driving (around 18-20 hours/week) and hands-on warehouse work, ensuring our products get to their destination and our warehouse stays in top shape.About Us: Empire Coating Inc is Western New Yorks leading coating applicator. We are devoted to long term growth through customer commitment and competitive leadership.Position OverviewDriving & Logistics: Safe Operation: Securely operate a 26' box truck for local and regional deliveries/pickups.Loading/Unloading: Ensure all cargo is properly palletized, strapped, and secured. Assist with loading and unloading at docks using pallet jacks or forklifts.Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, BOLs (Bills of Lading), and delivery receipts.Vehicle Care: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any mechanical issues immediately. Material Handler: Operate forklift to safely load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.Complete delivery paperwork as needed.Perform routine maintenance.Comply with company policies and guidelines.Update inventory, lists, records, and log all completed tasks.Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Qualifications: License: Valid driver license (CDL not required) Testing: Pre-employment DOT physical Experience: Previous experience as a Box Truck DriverPrevious experience in warehouse, or other related field strongly preferredFamiliarity with modern warehousing practices and methodsGood organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lift heavy objectsCurrent forklift license preferred, ability to drive a forklift required Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pmTotal Compensation Package: Wage This role is based in the State of New York which requires the disclosure of salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Empire Coating Inc provides salary ranges as a good faith estimate of what the company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting.
