HOURS PER WEEK: Full Time (Exempt Position) Flexible Schedule - Evenings and someweekends.IV. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid New York State License as a Registered Nurse (RN): Graduate ofan Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Certified in CPR;Previous administrative and supervisory experience. Must be ableto walk long distances and climb stairs at various intervals throughthe day, carrying a tray.V. FUNCTIONS :• In collaboration with the Director Health and Wellbeing oversee all functions of theMedical Clinic and ensure that St. Anne Institute clients receive the highest quality ofcare twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.• In collaboration with the Director Health and Wellbeing provide a high standard ofcompetent medical supervision and care for youth and staff (as needed).• In collaboration with Director Health and Wellbeing coordinate with othermedical/clinical staff to ensure that the St. Anne Institute Medical Clinic's dailyoperations function smoothly and efficiently.VI. RESPONSIBILITIES:Administrative• Work in tandem with the Director of Health and Wellbeing and the nursing team toensure safe and adequate nursing coverage; twenty-four hours, seven days a weekresponsibility for all campus programs.• Manage and participate in the scheduling of all nursing staff, especially the on-callnursing rotation.• Ensure that youth across all programs, including but not limited to the QualifiedResidential Treatment Program (QRTP), Crisis Residence, Day Services, EarlyChildhood Education, Runaway and Homeless Youth Shelter, Vocational DayServices, receive emergency and routine nursing care as needed.• Collaborate with Physicians, Psychiatrists and other medical personnel, as necessary,concerning appropriate medical treatment of youth and ensure that all physicians'orders are processed and documented in all electronic systems timely and accurately.• Coordinate nursing services with other agency departments to ensure that all requirednursing assessments and evaluations, including but not limited to IntakeAssessments, Comprehensive Treatment Plans, are completed in accordance withestablished policies and procedures.2• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care and Medical Clinic practices on an on-goingbasis and communicate suggestions for improvements to the Director Health andWellbeing, Chief Program Officer and the Medical Director.• Ensure the maintenance of appropriate medical records (EHR/Connections/EMAR).• Adhere to the provisions of the Nurse Practice Acts of New York State.• Educate staff and clients/students/residents about nursing procedures and health careissues.• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Medicaid Managed Care.• Assist in the formulation of medical clinic procedures and protocols and coordinate allmedical audits with the agency's Quality Management Team.• Report to the Director Health and Wellbeing, Chief Program Officer, QualityManagement, and the Medical Director on clinical/medical/medication issues that mayarise.• Attend regularly scheduled nurse meetings and other meetings/committees, asrequested.• Assist with the completion of medical consultation forms and medical specialistappointments• Assist with providing biweekly 1:1 supervision to all nursing staff• Assist in the facilitation of quarterly team meetings.• Participate in daily Risk Management Meetings, and Multi-Disciplinary TeamMeetings/Clinical Rounds.• Provide leadership to the medical team in the absence of the Director Health andWellbeing.Direct Care• Provide direct/comprehensive medical care of St. Anne Institute residents and generaland/or emergency care to all youth across all St. Anne Institute programs/services• Provide nursing care according to physicians' orders and in conformance withestablished standards of nursing.• Pour medications and make daily rounds to administer medications.• Provide accurate documentation on all medical matters, including accident reports,prescribed medications and nurse's notes (paper and electronic).• Administer first aid to all students and staff across agency programs, as necessary.Other• Complete 40 hours of continuing education annually (this can be accomplishedthrough a combination of agency in-services, outside conferences, etc.).• Abide by the provisions of the Nurse Practice Acts, the NYS Justice Center for theProtection of People with Special Needs, and the SAI Codes of Conduct/Ethics3• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Program Officer
