Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at an academic medical center in Albany, NY, with Epic EMR experience required.Job Details• Respiratory Therapy department at an academic medical center in Albany, NY,• Patient population includes adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients across critical care and emergency settings,• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,• Every other weekend required,• Rotating holiday coverage required,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience in a respiratory therapy specialty,• Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program (minimum Associate Degree),• Active NYS Respiratory Therapist License with current CE profile and no disciplinary actions - license required if applicable,• BLS certification required; must be issued by AHA or RQI,• ACLS certification preferred,• Epic EMR experience required,• US Social Security Number required,• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions (signed by a licensed professional) are accepted - personal and religious declinations will not be accepted,• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington,Additional Information• Perform respiratory therapy procedures, cardio-respiratory diagnostics, and patient assessments under physician direction,• Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including supervision of respiratory therapy technicians,• Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures, maintain patient records, and select, assemble, check, and operate respiratory equipment,• Experience with both inter- and intra-hospital patient transport is desirable,• ICU unit candidates must complete a competency test with up to 2 attempts to pass,• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application consideration,• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
