As the Lead Medical Officer, you will be at the helm of our onboard health center operations, delivering crucial healthcare services to both crew and guests. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive medical services, including evaluation and treatment for inpatient, outpatient, and ICU cases onboard. Oversee all operations of the health center to ensure efficiency. Monitor shore referrals and medical disembarkations of crew members alongside shoreside Medical Services. Communicate accurately with shoreside personnel regarding guest medical disembarkations. Make informed medical decisions concerning patient disembarkations. Maintain open communication with leaders from other ship departments. Ensure all medical reports are accurate and complete before submission. Ensure the medical team is aware of ACEP Guidelines and relevant safety protocols. Provide mentorship and guidance to the medical staff. Supervise crew members in common safety duties, including lifeboat drills. Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials. Assist in implementing crew immunization programs. Oversee pharmaceuticals onboard, including managed substances. Basic Qualifications: Active medical license from an STCW country. Medical degree from a recognized college or university from an STCW country. Ability to provide a letter of good standing prior to embarking. A minimum of 3 years recent experience in general and emergency medicine, including trauma or critical care. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Demonstrated computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office programs. Experience with electronic health records. Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in a leadership role such as Head or Lead Physician. 3 years of maritime medical experience. Experience with sea care preferred. Your Responsibilities: Hold a valid passport and obtain a C1/D Seaman's visa (Disney Cruise Line will assist with documentation). Complete a pre-employment medical assessment. Obtain a criminal background check. Bring approved work footwear. Note: Disney Cruise Line maintains a drug-free workplace.
