Position OverviewThe Fusion Recovery Center Clinician plays a critical role in providing comprehensive counseling services for individuals facing alcoholism and substance use disorders. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be certified as a CASAC in New York State or obtain a NYS LMSW or LMHC. Applicants must also have demonstrated experience working with substance use populationsThis role offers the opportunity to work in an integrated outpatient setting, delivering individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices. The Clinician will complete psychosocial intake assessments and collaborate closely with the Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, support staff, medical team, and other clinicians.As a regional leader in integrated behavioral health care, we are seeking top-tier professionals with the passion and drive to elevate service delivery in this vital field.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and maintain a personal caseloadUtilize evidence-based practices (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, CBT) and standardized assessment tools to address substance use and mental health disordersCoordinate client intakes and medical appointments and liaise with government agencies such as CPS and probation officesAdminister and interpret applicable screening tools and manage electronic medical records (EMR)Collaborate with Finance and Billing departments to ensure financial clearance and proper APG billing processesOrient clients to program policies, rules, and regulations, and conduct monthly orientation sessions for new admissionsMonitor and reconcile census data and ensure timely submission of OASAS Client Data System forms (PAS 44/45)Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in regular clinical supervision and interdisciplinary meetingsEducate clients on substance use disorders, treatment options, and available community resourcesConduct random toxicology testing as necessarySupport recovery efforts using medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and ensure compliance with all required training and certificationsEducation and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree preferred)Valid and unrestricted NYS OASAS certification as a CASAC or NYS LMSW or LMHCMust be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP)Required: prior experience working with individuals with substance use disordersSkills and CompetenciesStrong organizational, communication, and time-management skillsAbility to work in a culturally diverse environment and as part of a multidisciplinary teamHigh proficiency in managing electronic health recordsCapability to multitask and perform under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanorCompensation and BenefitsHigher-than-average pay scale for qualified professionalsPerformance-based raises and bonusesOpportunities for professional growth and developmentJoin us in making a difference in the lives of individuals and families struggling with substance use disorders.
