Administrative Assistant Our client is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a temporary position in Albany, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. Position Details: Duration: 2 years Hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday Pay: $27-$33 per/hr. What to Expect: Job Duties: Must be able to provide high-level admin support by: answering phone calls concerning policy or procedure and directing them to appropriate staff setting up and coordinating meetings for senior staff receiving and processing mail, fax documents and photocopying as needed maintaining paper and electronic filing systems preparing letters, closing incident and complaint reports daily office operational functions as needed by senior management ad hoc assignments if priorities change orienting other support staff if needed Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and highly motivated individuals able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment. The successful candidate should be willing and able to multitask and move from assignment to assignment as deadlines and priorities change. Have knowledge of office administration and management; proper grammar, punctuation and spelling; business communications and ability to take notes is necessary. Qualifications for Success: Minimum qualifications: a minimum of 2 years' experience working for the New York State Department of Health a high school diploma (or equivalent) two-year minimum experience working in a professional office setting excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Word, SharePoint and Excel) the ability to enter data into, and extract data from, electronic databases the ability to work independently and on a team with different personalities the ability to handle multiple, shifting priorities good organizational skills, including an ability to organize information into reports Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree certification in Microsoft Office products previous experience with the Statewide Financial System familiarity and knowledge of the Health Commerce System (HCS) experience with various DOH platform software knowledge and experience with computer information systems and computer programming Datrose is an equal opportunity employer.
