Job Title: Human Resources AssistantLocation: Akron, OH44306Duration: 06 Months Contract (Potential temp to perm)Pay Rate$17/hr. - $22/hr.Shift Time: 1st Shift - 8am - 5pm (may be flexible to 8:30-5:30)CONTRACT ROLE - Help support the overflow of the current workflow 3-6 monthsPosition Summary:The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for various functions supporting the Human Resource department. You'll work closely with the site HR leader and cross-functional teams to foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-focused, and comfortable balancing recruiting and administrative responsibilities.Responsibilities:Recruitment DutiesReview candidate profiles and conduct resume prescreens and use multiple interview techniques (phone, in-person, behavioral)Partner with department managers to collect relevant position informationWork closely with managers to schedule and confirm interviews on their calendarsKeep candidates updated throughout the hiring process to maintain a strong candidate experienceHR DutiesSchedule and coordinate pre-employment drug tests and background verification.Support new-hire orientations if needed - i.e.: New hire paperwork, I9, etc.Maintain records of recruiting activity in PeopleSoft and track search effortsOrganize resumes and candidate profiles within company databasesAdministrative Duties:Sort, classify, and file hard copy documents such as invoices, reports, correspondence, and forms using a variety of systems (e.g., alphabetical, numerical, chronological)Perform additional clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and monitoring office supply inventory for filing materialsCreate new physical files, update existing records with new information, and remove or archive outdated materials according to company policyGreet clients/candidates in a professional mannerStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismMaintain office equipment/suppliesMaintain the appearance and cleanliness of the entire officeQualifications:2+ years of HR Generalist or Recruiting experience Manufacturing background a PLUSHS Diploma College degree preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.PeopleSoft and Adobe Sign a PLUS.Punctual, courteous, reliable, and energetic.Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment.Maintain a high level of confidentiality.Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to work well with others and in a team environment.Organizational and time management skills.
